Can you tell us about your background? 

I'm from England. I have lived in BC since 2003. 

Like many of us, I like the outdoor athletic life and i pursued adventure sports and travel in my teens and twenties, living in France and Indonesia.

What brought you to yoga? 

My girlfriend at the time, back in 1998. Her and my curiosity of course. ;)

Why did you decide to become a teacher? 

Because yoga practice is a positive force in the world which deserves to be spread far and wide. And because at the time i was willing and able to!

What do you love most about teaching? 

Helping people learn how to use empowering tools to improve their lives.

What is your favorite pose? 

Sirsasana - Head Stand.

What should students expect from you? 

Nothing! Expectation and desire lead to suffering!! 

However, i do teach Ashtanga Yoga as taught to me by my teachers in Mysore, India.

What do you want your students to take away from your teachings? 

A straightforward method to bring them more stability and ease in life.

Proudest yoga moment? 

Receiving the blessing of my teacher, Sharath Jois, to share what he has taught to me.

What is your advice for new yoga students?

Don't hurry or skip steps. Ignore what everyone else is doing. Do YOUR practice. Be consistent. Slow and steady wins the race.
