You’ve probably noticed the many types of yoga: Hatha, Yin, Kundalini…etc. Coupled with the plethora of yoga instructions that teach these classes, a person inquiring about a class or even interested in becoming a yoga instructor has a multitude of options. It’s pretty awesome.

Like many of us, it took Guruji, one yoga class to become intrigued with yoga. If the name, Guruji doesn’t ring a bell, here’s a little background on him, Ashtanga yoga and the proliferation of the practice. Guruji, or Yogacharaya Shri K. Pattabhi Jois, was one of Ashtanga yoga’s leading teachers- establishing the Ashtanga research center in Mysore India out of his home and with help, spread the practice of Ashtanga into Europe, North America and the world over.
Children love to move! With yoga, children are involved in a fun, non-competitive physical activity. All children, regardless of age or ability can do yoga. Yoga uses children's imagination while they become stronger, more flexible, and more aware of how to control their breath and their body movements.
This workshop allows young children to explore yoga poses and activities, and have fun as they relax, breathe and stretch.
Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a thin mat to lie down on.
